I probably spent 500+ hours trying to improve Fulton elections last year, and I was present during several of the events in this article.

First, Fulton Elections improved dramatically from the primary to the November Election. They did good in January too. https://twitter.com/atlantamagazine/status/1357037410727714817
Second, Fulton was under tremendous pressure.

The rollout of the new machines was botched by the SOS (lack of training, extremely complicated machines, etc.) But the SOS blamed Fulton for things happening all over GA.

I applied pressure, but hopefully it was collaborative.
Then, Trump couldn’t accept his loss, and the conspiracy theories came.

Molehills were turned into vast mountain ranges.

Every large scale logistic operation is going to have some issues, but the straight lies from Trump and Co. about these things misled so many.
A poll worker had someone go to her grandmother’s house to try to make a citizen’s arrest, after multiple death threats were made against that worker.

A poll workers 14-year old son received racist, threatening texts.

Threats to shoot up their office. Calls for hanging, etc.
Thanks to all election workers. Our systems bent, but they didn’t break.

And we need to hold people accountable that made threats and fought to undermine our democracy.

Elections can be slightly improved, but we cannot use these lies to drastically reduce access to voting.
