I've been vegan 6 years now. after 1.5 yrs vegan I left the animal rights movement bcoz of how populated the movement is with such violently racist ideology.

I quickly realized rhat if I wanted to see any sort of syatem change around rhe harms caused by animal agriculture I needed to focus my attention on Indigenous solidarity, and being an accomplice, or at minimal an ally, in dismantling settler colonialism
when I signed up to twitter I wanted this to be a solely astro account, but I know full well that politics are everything, and cannot be removed. so maybe I'll start sharing more of my political thoughts here.
The receipts I'm seeing of Maren (bot wanting to rt her racist garbage) are so telling to me how the Yt vegan community hasn't changed. I have some dear friends who are still active in the AR scene- and the coloniality only seems to he getting worse over the years.
I am glad I am vegan, but I also know its not the only way to exist.

Altman, and the others who make the holocaust comparison do not understand what a holocaust is. they think breeding and killing animals for consumption is the same as wanting to exterminate an entire race of people. they are NOT the same.
Vegans use they rhetoric to attack indigenous communities. Several years ago Paul Watson attacked an Inuit youth who caught a whale for his entire community- who received thousands of death threats bcoz of Watson- you'll know him as the founder of Sea Shepherd
We eill never be able to return to sustainably eating meat, bcoz if everyone decided to hunt, there would he no wild animals.
My opinion is if your from a race of ppl who haven't been colonized on these lands, then we should be aiming to eat as many plants as possible

but seriously, fuck Altman. she's always bothered me, I saw a post about her wanting to build an empire a few months ago and the imperialist red flag went off and I wondered y so many ppl give her clout. everything about her is disgusting, vile rubbish, like the rest of them
