Thereâs a large corner of the field where teasels grow in abundance. I hope the new farmer doesnât plough this up as he has done with the other wildlife friendly âheadlandsâ.
I wonder how old the bracket fungus is on this ancient beech tree? Itâs as if the tree has grown a thickened toenail. The patterns & colours are just stunning.
But we now have blue skies. And I found a tiny (rather poorly focused) hazel flower. Some of the hazel buds are beginning to unfurl. Spring will arrive.
And finally - a chiff chaff resolutely defying the motorway!
