Let's set aside that this is a ploy to appeal to a subset of the base (also set aside how idiotic it is) and pretend that Texas is able to leave the US.
-Say goodbye to what you've paid into social security.

-Say goodbye to the US military and their equipment. Say hello to having to pay for a new military.
-Say goodbye to multiple city economies that thrive on the military (San Antonio, Temple, Abilene, Wichita Falls, etc).
-Say goodbye to federal assistance during natural disasters.

-Say goodbye to having an established postal system.
-Say goodbye to DFW and IAH as major airline hubs. US airlines aren't going to want "international" hubs.
-Say goodbye to your US passport which allows entry into 180+ countries.

-Say hello to higher taxes. Instead of splitting the cost of some services amongst 50 states, Texas will have to pay the full cost for the creation of numerous new agencies.
-Say hello to US tariffs.
-Say hello to passing through customs & border security to visit the US.

There are 100s of other things that would screw Texas, but the people pushing it don't care. They're just playing to a certain crowd for political pts. Instead of being a quitter and adopting an "I'm taking my ball and going home" mentality, maybe offer up legitimate solutions.
