You only need 1,000 true fans. This week I was talking with @jessievbreugel and he mentioned this concept. Also a lot of people have mentioned the good parts of building in public. I'll build my audience in public, the goal will be 1,000 friends. 🧵
I'll work on my personal monopoly. I heard this idea first from @david_perell. As David says: "It’s your unique intersection of skills, interests, and personality traits (...)". Now the question is how to find it.
I enjoyed a lot the ideas about the personal monopoly from @m_ashcroft. He mentions that we should switch from architect framework to archeology. His videos are awesome.
Right now, I know I like to write online about:
• Little machine learning projects that intersect with my interests
• Lessons I learned in the workplace ( I work as a tech consultant)
• Startups and experiments
The question now is how long would it take me to find 1,000 friends on Twitter. Right now I have 150. Maybe a month?
My plan is to:
• Post consistently
• Keep writing on my blog
• Discover my personal monopoly by being prolific
Feel free to drop any advice 😃
