राहत की खबर ये है कि नंदप्रयाग से आगे अलकनंदा नदी का बहाव सामान्य हो गया है। नदी का जलस्तर सामान्य से अब 1 मीटर ऊपर है बहाव कम होता जा रहा है। राज्य के मुख्य सचिव, आपदा सचिव, पुलिस अधिकारी एवं समस्त टीम आपदा कंट्रोल रूम में स्थिति पर नज़र रख रही है।

Police, SDRF, Army & ITBP teams are already doing their best to save lives of the workers at both the construction sites, affected by the disaster. Two bodies have already been recovered & we are doing our best to lessen the damage caused by the disaster. #Uttarakhand

Medical teams have been rushed to the affected site. 30 bed hospital has been kept ready at Joshimath for dealing with this emergency. Hospitals in Srinagar, Rishikesh, Jollygrant and Dehradun are on standby. We are doing our best to deal with this disaster. #Uttarakhand

A DRDO team of snow & avalanche experts from its newly-created Defence Geo-Informatics Research Establishment would be reaching tomorrow to assess situation at site in #Uttarakhand where flash flood occurred. Team would assess situation in:glaciers around the site.

Sixty @NDRFHQ personnel moved with 5 ton load from Hindon to JollyGrant Airport in IAF C130.
One more C130 and one AN 32 ready at Hindon for additional NDRF teams.
Three IAF Mi-17 positioned at JollyGrant to airlift NDRF teams to #Joshimath.

We were able to dig 150 mtrs. of the tunnel but after a rise in water level had to halt the work. Most missing persons were working at the two projects. We expect to get a clear picture on their identities by Monday morning
