We are deeply saddened by what has unfolded with Candice Brathwaite, who has spent YEARS pushing for the conversation on black motherhood being replaced by Rochelle in a documentary on the high rate of black women in the U.K dying in childbirth (thread)

In early 2020 we launched a survey on motherhood with over 2000 black women taking part before we dedicated the year to commissioning black women all over the UK to share their stories, from fostering to being single mothers - http://blkbld.uk/2Z6EVJr
