I would have some sort of respect for CUA if the speaker policy was equally enforced. It’s not. Being Catholic + pro life is more than just being anti-abortion. https://twitter.com/ncronline/status/1358960560952537091
How is it pro life to have a speaker who’s going against USCCB’s and the Pope’s advice on the COVID vaccine? And who both point out her objections are wrong?
That’s not even getting into her racist remarks (I’d mentioned her homophobia but at least CUA pretends to care about racism)
This isn’t trying to “cancel” her. Different CUA orgs have brought in tons of speakers that I have disagreed with. This particular woman is a stain on the pro life movement and to keep recognizing her and providing her opportunities to speak is to endorse all her views.
And here’s a good thread on all the non-Catholic views she sprouts (my personal favorite is her trying to tell the Pope that we don’t need to work on poverty so much since there will always be poor people) https://twitter.com/angelarasmussen/status/1357554851983540225
