It is certainly true that ~some~ Democratic politicians would find a home in the right of center European parties (Joe Biden shares more ideologically with Boris Johnson than Jeremy Corbyn, for instance) but in the macro that isn't true
To add to this (excellent) thread from Nick, I have an African-American friend who studied abroad in Stokholm, and had racial slurs hurled his way quite a few times. The US has its issues with race for sure but it's very unclear to me that Europe is better https://twitter.com/nickroberts317/status/1359203400815161345
