I've seen a huge influx of ostensibly progressive/"left" people calling anyone on the left "tankies" regardless of if they actually are. If you do this: you sound identical to people who make memes about throwing communists out of helicopters. It's reactionary signaling
Seeing social democrats thinking they're leftist just because they like to corncob Charlie Kirk epic style & then calling other people "tankies" for arguing in favor of pushing the minimum wage even higher is embarrassing. Politics isn't just aesthetics.
What I mean to say is if say you're on the "left" and are whining about "tankies" more than reactionaries and conservatives holding power, you're a reactionary, especially if you're misusing the word "tankie" when it has a very specific meaning
