Kkin is made up of layers that protect you from external factors. When those layers are damaged, your skin barrier is compromised.
Symptoms include :peeling, itching, redness, flaking.I experience MORE dryness, breaking out, and products (non-actives)burning when applying.

Ok so what do I do to help my skin recover?
1. I stop cleansing and water cleanse
"Stop washing your face?" yes. I'm trying to limit the amount of (even slight) exfoliation on my skin in order for it to repair itself. Water is sufficient to cleanse it in these times for me

2. Hydrating step
Now I want to nourish my skin& alleviate dryness so I add hydration. This can be in a serum/ toner step.I use cosrx snail mucin (available on @BeautyonTApp).Vichy mineral 89 serum is a basic HA serum w/ thermal spring water
Their thermal water is great too!

3. I moisturise.
Now when my skin is in the gutter I'll double moisturise. I'll use a light moisturiser and a creamier one on top of that to really help my skin. I love Eucerin 20% urea and L'OCCOTAINE's light comforting cream. Tbh I do this even when my skin is not. Compromised

I love Rosehip oil and it's a staple in my routine. The La Roche today cicaplast balm is so amazing it has panthenol and madecassoside and helps with barrier support in general. Eucerin soothing skin balm helps skin regenerate.
