Hearing personal stories how people with learning disabilities & families/carers struggle to access health advice, support & care.
Importance of having good support networks, often informal such as neighbours & friends. Concern that some people with learning disabilities/autism & their families/carers may not have this.
What has been the impact of closures/restrictions of day opportunities/projects and the lack of meaningful occupation for people with LD & autism during lockdown? #YHLDInequalities
Death rates in people with learning disabilities significantly higher than the general population, especially for adults with #DownSyndrome.

Discrimination and inequality continues.

COVID19 vaccine coverage in people with learning disabilities substantially lower than other eligible population groups (28.1% vs 41.1% as of 13 Jan 2021)
Might be counter-intuitive but risk of death in adults with Down Syndrome significantly higher (even after adjusting for co-morbidities) than say someone with cancer on chemotherapy or heart failure.
