Kobe Bryant played 20 years in the Western conference. A conference that’s didn’t allow for any nights off.
In fact, from 2008-2010, EVERY team that made the playoffs, won at LEAST 50 games, with the exception of two.

Not to mention, in terms of teams that Kobe beat..... he faced and DEFEATED the most 50 Win teams of any player in NBA History, for a record of 25-10

Kobe’s peak is one of the best peaks we ever saw. He was at his absolute best from 2006 until 2010. During these years Kobe posted:

Kobe was way more efficient than people think. He was not some ineffective shot chucker like many casual basketball “fans” claim.

Kobe was also one of the best perimeter ‘On-Ball’ Defenders ever. (Not on Jordan or Pippen level) but still a high tier defender. In his prime he could shut down any position 1-3 and could stay in front of any elite or quick guards.
Another reason why I regard Kobe to be a top 3 player is because in his peak.... he was one of the most clutch players basketball has ever had @KbsGoat

Magic couldn’t win without Kareem. Jordan couldn’t win without Pippen. Bird didn’t win without Mchale. Curry never won without Klay. Shaq couldn’t win without Wade/Kobe.
.....But Kobe won without Shaq, Twice. In facts his second best teammate was Pau Gasol, who isn’t top 50.

Players/coaches who played against Kobe say he’s undoubtedly the second best player to only MJ. KD has said this, Wade, Shaq, Bosh, and Others

In conclusion, Kobe is top 3 for me because he’s the most skilled player ever, who played the best competition ever. He’s at worst the 2nd best scorer ever, one of the best defenders ever, and one of the most clutch players ever and he had elite longevity, and an elite prime.
One more thing.... for people don’t think he’s ever top 5 because he was a “ballhog”.
