Now that I've calmed down after a while, I'll talk a bit about Ariel's first appearance in the anime. I'll just let my thoughts flow I guess. I'm very, very happy with it by the way. This will have spoilers.

So, first of all, I love the ominous look they gave to the castle.
If it was a normal, sunny day, it would actually look beautiful and not that menacing (they overdid it a little though), which is the point, but here it helps a lot creating the perverse aura the scene needs. Truly a Demon Lord's castle. It looks so so good.
Secondly, and the most important part, I really liked Ariel's voice and how she was portrayed here. Everything looks so dark and ominous, and then you have this girl talking nonchalantly with a voice that doesn't fit the scene at all. It kind of leaves you with an "Eh?"
A young girl with such an attitude doesn't really give Demon Lord vibes, does she? Since that's the point of it, I'm personally really happy with the result. The toughest part will be when a scene in which she gets serious comes, which are not easy to represent at all. We'll see
Here in the anime, the scene starts with Balto asking if something happens, which is one of those questions he instantly regrets asking towards her, since he usually tries ending their talks as fast as possible. I find it so funny. He just gives short answers after that as usual
Ariel doesn't care and tells him nothing, leaving him confused about what she's talking about. A nice way of showing what Balto and the demons are to her. Moreover, she tells him to focus on his work when we all know who should actually be doing most of it. This is just marvelous
Shiraori being the only one there by her side is beautiful by the way. It's the usual view of them, but I love how you can take that view and use it to represent so much of how the story's been for a long time now. I love those two so much I could die. I'm so happy they added her
I also want to add that we got all this when in the novel it's just the quick interaction between Ariel and Balto, and nothing more. A quarter of a page. They adapted the J2 chapter so well.
In conclussion, the scene was perfectly adapted imo, and Ariel looked and sounded exactly how she should here. I can't give a complete opinion on her voice until we get some other and different scenes, but I'm really happy with this one. I'll gladly watch it a thousand times ty.
