When we are out of lockdown I will be interviewing:
- an older woman with adult children whose spoken English is improving but she writes like a dream and has volunteered as a gardener for two years.

I will also be going up to northe east Victoria to meet a young lady who has completed horticulture studies and who was rejected for work because, as a bigger lady, was told she wasn’t fit enough for the work.
Last week a team member who was previously in a toxic work environment, left my business to start her own business in a different trade.
Truly flexible work works. It’s not just my own anecdotal that demonstrates this but science. Study after study shows true flexibility results in greater productivity and less absenteeism.
Don’t want to work for or around men because of experiencing assault? Sure, you will never be rostered to work for a male client.
Having a hard time mentally and life is overwhelming? Sure, take the rest of the week off. But come back rested and revitalised.
One of my team members has disclosed that prior to working for @OkayeServices she compulsively checked that doors were locked etc. since being out and about gardening she realised she hardly does this any more.
Employing older women, women who’ve only ever been stay at home mum’s, women who’ve overcome family violence, women with mental health illness gives you an INCREDIBLE work force.
This is the way forward. This is the way to improve the economy. This is the way to move people from Newstart to meaningful work. This is the way to a healthy mindset.
