A so called news portal published an item leveling unsubstantiated allegations against me.On receipt of a notice,they claim that since I did not pick up their call(which by the way,I never received!)before publication of this bizarre story,they assumed the allegations are true(1)
Say a crime is committed.These gentlemen(or people of their ilk)concoct a theory that 'X' is responsible for this crime,call him,the person does not receive the call,and lo and behold,it is proven that the crime is committed by 'X'! (2)
'If you don't receive my call it is proven that what I am insinuating against you is true and I will go ahead and publish it,since it is in my vested interest to do so'is the motto of these people hell bent on misusing social media platforms to accomplish their sinister agenda(3)
In 13 years of public service,I have seen all sorts of personal agenda based items masquerading as news,but this certainly takes the cake.Don't want to give undue publicity to this piece of ridiculous absurdity,so have masked the details of this portal and the gentlemen.(4)
Needless to say, will be taking strict action as per law. Such people should not be allowed to get away with such brazen and vulgar attempts at character assassination. And they have the temerity to call themselves journalists.(5)
