Everytime someone tweets that as a doctor I make money, my salary is public record. It is JMD 2,167,587 per annum.
That equates to JMD 1042.11, for every hour of work that I do.
That equates to JMD 1042.11, for every hour of work that I do.
So some more perspective. That works out to USD 14,450.58 per year, Or USD 6.95 per hour. The lowest paid doctor in the states makes USD 191,735 per annum for comparison (chart provided).
School fee btw is over USD 20,000+ per annum for 5 years, that doesn't include, books, food, boarding, medical equipment and miscellaneous expenses. So a big reason 90+% of us come to work is to pay back the exorbitant student loans we've racked up.
And just to state it explicitly 1024.11 for 8 hours per day for 5 days a week equates to 40,964.40. So I make 163,857.60 a month. I therefore make 122,893.20 after tax a month. That's my salary as a medical doctor. And I don't have benefits.
So tonight I dine on the on the hippocratic oath and goodwill.
