It seems like @austinenergy could be communicating a lot better about what’s going on. From what I gather:
- @ERCOT_ISO doesn’t have enough power for the state. Lots of generation methods down or running at limited capacity.

- Anyone who has power has it because they are on the same circuit as critical infrastructure
- Those circuits are demanding more power than we have, so it’s no longer rolling blackouts. It’s just blackouts.
- Ergo, if you don’t have power, you won’t have power for a while

There aren’t any updates because it’s not like traditional power outage events.
Post hurricane, power lines down, crews out fixing them.
With snow, in some parts of the city, yes. But not a widespread cause of outages.
