Being a pick me is how they get that attention back. Part of why I find it funny is because it’s almost an insult to these men that they know how easily swayed these niggas are lmao.
But the other reason I find it funny is because, they find comfort in being a pick me but it’s a false sense of security. The only thing you can bet on with these men is their ability to have the audacity, not their ability to support and uplift you without conditions.
ESPECIALLY if you’re a Black woman lmao.
Pick mes who will fuck with her logic and the niggas who love pick mes for their own manipulative gain are in abundance but both demographics are fickle. One is ever changing because more women are unlearning and the other is niggas who gon nig at the end of the day.
There’s possible societal gain when you align with patriarchy. Especially if you’re a Black woman in entertainment.
But it’s temporary. If it’s even real at all. You never win in a game that you were never meant to play in. That’s the lesson.
Patriarchy got a hell of a grip on some of y’all Black women. My only hope is that y’all are able to free yourselves from that shit cuz it ain’t worth it. Whoever is reading this, baby, it ain’t worth it. Find you a system/structure that doesn’t get Black women killed.
