I've said this before and I'll probably say it again: If you're a graduate or a junior developer:
1. Open a github account
2. Create an end to end project to scratch an itch (even if it's a to-do or CMS, no judgement)
3. Find a lib you use, fork it and fix a doc bug

There is no excuse in 2021 for not having a publicly demonstrable example that you know:
1. How to use tools of trade
2. How to start from a blank editor and make progress
3. How to navigate an existing codebase

When I read people moaning about having qualifications and no opportunity, they're often missing this stuff.
