not to sound like a '''gamer'' but damn i love games. games are so good
they can have the heavy storytelling akin to a show or book with full interactivity and a world with mechanics made from scratch which is SO COOOL, and it has to be designed in a way in that a player understands what to do and where to go and maan
playing outer wilds and subnautica has had me so starry eyed like they're both games that you wouldn't really think of as having a story at first, but they have really intriguing plots that are only discovered via hidden clues that the developer just has to trust that you'll find
it's not like a movie where you give the viewer everything they need, it's all hidden within a world which you have to discover yourself, piece together and have influence ur next move and mmmm love that, how a developer has to get in the mind of the player
also just individuals make such amazing games by themselves?? Games are so varied bc anyone dedicated can make a game and put it out there for people to enjoy? So we have things like undertale, a short hike, stardew valley, im cryin
despite barely being outside for almost a year I feel like I've had quite a few adventures thanks to games, like I've played horizon zero dawn, ac origins, ac valhalla, outer wilds, subnautica, phasmophobia and more in that time and i owe them a lot, theyve kept me happy
