so glad arizona got to keep their team instead of atlanta lmao
i’m obviously biased but also, non traditional markets is how you grow the game. atlanta is a VERY diverse city and if you put literally any effort into marketing to the Black and hispanic communities there instead of the rich white suburbs the team would have thrived.
the MLS team in Atlanta is insane, they pull like 50k a game because they market to their diverse community. don’t tell me Black and hispanic folks just don’t like hockey. the folks running pro hockey don’t like THEM.
ATL probably never gets another NHL team but Houston should get a team. They PACKED their AHL games before that team went away.
