When pipes burst, renters will be the ones who have no options, at the mercy of their landlord, and often don't have renters insurance. Homeowners will have so many more tools at their disposal. That's how the system is designed: privilege compounds.
If you are angry at Texas leadership for the grid failure, good. You should be. But you should also be mad at the people who quietly benefit from and have no desire to change a system that lets the well off take and take and take and take at the expense of everyone else.
