the problem with the way we deal with important issues on stan twitter is that there are two extremes. One extreme is the whole tl talking about an issue and anyone who talks about anything different is looked down upon and the other extreme is absolutely no-one talking about +
any issues at all. we need to learn to integrate educating ourselves and helping to spread important info into our normal tweeting rather than having these concentrated bursts and then silence. Therefore people can livetweet and joke about and trend stupid stuff as well as +
bringing up important issues. This will also prevent performative activism where people are just retweeting threads and info without reading or seeing how they can help which just completely defeats the point just so that they dont look bad and they can say that "they helped"
please rt this, I think its a really important long term issue that needs to be solved asap in all different fandoms
