1) I typically like to wait a minute on news in order to avoid sharing any gut thoughts that could easily change later when new info is presented.

However, my gut says that this agreement is actually a really good thing for both parties. Allow me to explain
2) Last year when H&M made the announcement to step away they did so b/c they wanted more control over their work. They wanted to decide what press to work with & to be able to control their own work w/o having to consider other members of the family's work or timing
3) Mind you, none of this is a bad thing. There are a lot of people who want to work independently so they can control their schedule, what they do & when they do it.

It's completely normal to find working in the confines of large institution like the BRF challenging
4) The reason they haven't been able to do everything they wanted when they wanted this past year (apart from Covid obviously) is b/c they have had to consider the attachments they still had to these organisations & act accordingly.
5) I imagine with these attachments removed they will do much more much more quickly. They have no official role in these orgs. now & can therefore create whatever content, partner with whatever brands, take whatever gigs they want based solely on what they want for their future
6) They do not represent the Queen, the BRF or the Commonwealth so they have more opportunity now to carve whatever path they desire. I think this is what they were looking for when they announced last year & it took the "probationary" year to confirm it for themselves
7) On the other side the family can remain close to H&M but the institution will not need concern itself with whatever work H&M do publicly.

They can now all focus on whatever work suits their end goals & know that they are separate entities, granting the BRF freedom as well
8) I know this analogy has been shared before but it holds true:
H&M were essentially employees that decided to leave a company. The past year they were still attached to said company & now that they are not both H&M & the BRF can move forward.
9) When someone leaves a company what they do & say no longer reflects their old employer and said employer no longer needs to concern themselves with the behavior of a former employee.

H&M are of course still members of the family but they don't represent the BRF.
10) Everyone can now live their lives however they best see fit.

The BRF will fill the vacancies left by H&M (like any business would) and H&M can move forward w/ more choice to do what they want knowing it will no longer reflect on or represent the monarchy.
11) I know that his might not be the most popular opinion but my gut tells me that this was the best option for all parties involved.

I'll let you know if my opinion on the matter changes as some time passes but this is where I am at right now. xx
