Having watched Justice League carefully, i want to point out a few things. Some scenes thought to be Snyder are most likely not and some scenes must have used body doubles. There are telltale signs I'll be listing below:
Henry Cavill's scenes are most likely body doubles in the corn field with his face entirely digitally added ala Chris Evans in Captain America First Avenger
Amy Adams doesn't say "you smell good". The line was dubbed over her mouth movement, which was most likely "I missed you". A sentence that carries the exact same mouth movement. Cavill's response is also a fun over
Some Cavill scenes can be mistaken for Snyder but look at his head hair, from the side it'll be overly full but completely flat, never stretching beyond the vertical position of his forehead
That means those peculiar hair situations are likely body doubles from before Cavill made it on set (remember, M:I 6 was taking forever to film).
Some of the fight scene with the league is also definitely reshoot besides the "do you bleed" scenario
Also, I think some Zack Snyder Superman scenes had a smile edited on Cavill's face, which would be worlds easier than digitally erasing his moustache. The moustache erasure quality ranges thanks to 2 different vfx artists hired. From not too noticeable to uncanny valley
The iconic Superman shirt rip is Joss Whedon. It's one of the scenes where moustache erasure was competent. How do you tell? Cavill's hair is shaved inward on both sides of his head, just like in all of Joss' scenes, causing it to hang over his forehead. Zack parts only 1 side
Ppl look for Affleck's red face to tell the reshoots apart or they look at the completely different wig he wears. But most likely at the start of reshoots, Joss must've had Affleck wear a wig closer to the widow's peak. It's combed roughly and grey. The real one has grey temples
Some Aquaman scenes on Atlantis are reshoots, probs to create an altered storyline for the Geoff Johns written Aquaman solo. His tattoos are too close together in the reshoots and his scene with Mera is most definitely reshoots
More observations on Justice League:
The scoutship scene is def a reshoot. Remember when Shannon's Zod was being brought back to life? Remember the focus on his face throughout the movie, not counting the scene itself? We don't see Clark here, CGI corpse galore
The Jonathan Kent photograph is a half assed attempt to beat emotions out of an audience they did everything to excise all emotions beyond 'FUN' from. It's not faded despite being in a coffin. It lands awkwardly like in gelatin, far from where Arthur's carrying the CGI corpse
Apparently, Joss' reshoots involve Diana drinking? Like 100yrs of humanity's BS wasn't enough, liberating a small village wasn't enough but a scene where they mock Clark's relevance, sacrifice and near endless suffering needed to be celebrated with a drink. Cool
Reshoot with body double: Jason Momoa, Atlantis.
Reshoot with body double: Ben Affleck, Gotham.
Reshoot with body double: Henry Cavill, Corn Field.
Dubbed over dialogue: Ray Fisher. Incredibly excited audio about "hurting toes" vs blank expression and fewer mouth movement
More Justice League observations:
Snyder's shots have temples to sideburns greyed out and bold with greying beard and slanted top hair. Light/dark shadows equal. Whedon's reshoots have chaotic grey on the temple, all the way to the back, no grey on beard and straight top hairline
Other views of what Ben looks like between Snyder and Whedon. From what i can tell, the grey is much more on Affleck's left (temple-side burn) and just on the temple on the right when the shot is Snyder's. Whedon's wig is split noticeably, grey temples-parietal ridge, wavy hair
More Ben stuff: First 2 in front of a mirror. No grey temples in the third one, seems a big oversight in appearance for a veteran vigilante who's being at it for 20yrs.
Michael McElhatton is clean shaven in 2 shots. The guy who shoots is never seen again. There's over 7 "reactionaries" in the court house room Diana busts into. Diana kills 3 and we don't see the rest again. But i'll be sure to blame BvS for this film's failure
Arthur passes out after being headbutted into a column by Steppenwolf. He can be vaguely seen falling to his knees after Mera makes the bubble. There's a chance Mera resuscitates him with CPR in the bubble but this doesn't mean actual underwater communication didn't happen after
Amber heard has deeper shade of red hair like she got for filming Aquaman (noticeable from back) than the more natural red she got for JL. Since Aquaman started filming not long after JL, only a matter of sending the costumes to Australia for Wan to film this part
Arthur and Mera converse in a air bigger bubble than she created.
Mera was supposed to be in the same room as the motherbox, if the fisher claims monsters attacked his ship and film crew say there were scenes of Parademons searching for Atlantis, then they'd repelled an earlier attack and Mera was leaving before Steppie boomed in.
In a room filled with over 8 Atlantean guards, Steppenwolf kills 1 and then shoves two dead ones (second of whom's upside down for added hilarity) out of his way and that was that. This movie's quality is def shining.
I guess Jason was being filmed from the front and then told to tilt his head to the side. Why did they remove this third one and replace with some nonsensical out of focus gag about falling into the tides?
The drawing of the motherboxes is a reshoot taking advantage of Ben's head turn and doesn't make sense. How could a town cut off from civilization have drawings of something kept by an underwater civilization cut off from the world while no records of the human motherbox exists?
Two sets of no name characters too unbearably irrelevant for me to believe they were ever even supposed to exist. No different from the brother-sister family subplot in AOU (who deleted scenes show were supposed to hog more screentime) but i guess they needed to cut Victor's mum.
Any scene where Diana suddenly has this red cloth draped over her shoulders out of nowhere and for no reason at all, is definitely another of the alterations/new additions. Plus, round faced Ben.
Having a villain sabotage their own incredibly easy victory by cluing the heroes to their presence is a favorite Whedon past time. The motherboxes summon Steppenwolf on their own, if he didn't grab the idiot ball and send Parademons out, no one would know any thing was happening
Yea, that's right. Let's cover up an iconic shot with a tarp and heavy out of focus blur. People will laugh about it and empty their wallets in our direction. And apparently, both the Janitor and Silas were being electrocuted by a Parademon but they don't even act like it one bit
This here, is a movie studio deciding a character's origin story is too gruesome (ignoring its based directly off their own source material) and sanitizing it into a blackhole of narrative inconsistencies. Now victor wasn't as badly injured but they still insist he almost died.
Makes you wonder if Aquaman was supposed to make an earlier entrance into the fight rather than conveniently swim through a newly made hole in the tunnels beneath Gotham Habour. So "all right" may have been meant for something else?
They're supposed to go back into the Batcave while suited up and meet Alfred for the first time (minus Diana) which never happens in the movie bc they don't meet him. TV Spot Arthur: "Badass, Alfred."
Desperation for hope and optimism leads to changing this scene. The motherbox awakening the night Superman died negates it awakening months earlier in BvS to convert Victor, while also implying it didn't attempt summoning Steppenwolf till months later after Superman died.
"Yea, let's cut this shit. Who needs a history lesson when we can feed them some thru and thru BS about Kryptonian cells not degrading and completely take away the impact of mortality from Superman."
CGI-ed corpse, unusual if it was an original shot & no focus on Clark to connect the audience to him before he comes back. Pictrure eacts to genesis waters like it's consistency is yolk-like even tho it's liquid & its the genesis birthing pods that are amniotic, not the waters.
