in the 2014 hollywood "black list" of the best unproduced scripts there is this absolutely wild willy wonka prequel called WONKA

willy gets in a love triangle with charlie's mom and dad as teenagers and charlie's dad is an extremely rich chocolate magnate who frames willy for a crime he didn't commit
willy goes on a prison ship and he kills two dudes and ends up on a hell island full of mystical roald dahl creatures. he meets the oompa loompas who are vaguely "south asian" with green and orange makeup
the prison colony is a subsidiary of bucket chocolate so willy sabatoges the company by using secret loompa poison to murder people back home
he escapes the island and has an affair with veruca salt's mom? throught this he slowly gets more and more reasons to kill the individual children
he uses the loompa knowledge to make the chocolate and he buys the now abandoned bucket chocolate factory and the buckets and their parents live in the shitty apartment from the original story
the entire last act of WONKA is the entire factory tour except now he engineered the golden ticket to murder specific kids on purpose including charlie beacuse he is mentally broken. slugworth and charlie's mom stop him from murdering them all at the last sec
this is all very real its a script written by Jason Micallef called WONKA. i think they are still trying to make a prequel but maybe with a different script at this point
